Anyone that has taken up running knows that the hardest part is getting out the front door. When you make it past that step any runner could tell you, misery loves company. Having someone else counting on you to show up and share the load not only helps pass time faster, but has multiple training benefits as well. Running partners help to regulate one another’s pace by keeping it social and relaxed. Working hard and having someone to push you can increase the quality of workouts but partners are also great for slowing things down and keeping it relaxed....
Here at the RF we believe there is a runner inside everyone. People may say that they “don’t have a runner’s body”, or that they “aren’t built for running”, but we firmly believe that anyone can become a runner. While it is tempting to run out the door and go as fast and far as our body will take us, we’ve found that a mixture of walking and running is the best way to introduce oneself to the activity.
